Valentine Hound Dog - Rachelle Ayala (book review)

I got to beta read this book and it is not out for sale yet. It is a part of a Valentines bundle but it will also be possible to buy the book as a stand alone book, both as ebook and as paperback.

You can find more info about it on goodreads

Former fireman Larry Davison covers his burn scars well, by working at an elementary school as a custodian where he finds a lost hound dog behind the dumpster.

Fashion designer Jenna Hart is in town to do her annual charity fashion show when she loses her top model, Little Treat. When Larry turns up with the puppy, she asks him to be in the show and bachelor’s auction.

Larry’s not sure he belongs in a fashion show and balks at being her good deed. Can Jenna convince Larry beauty is never skin deep and love's arrow strikes not only the beautiful, but the bold

My thoughts
This is a very sweet beauty and the beast story. You have the beautiful you vibrante woman who wants to succeed as in the fashion industry and you also have the scared former Firefighter who is ashamed and sad due to the past. Even if they know each other they still are some what strangers but when Harley comes into their lives things chance.

I love this story because it is so real and so sad at the same time. You see the hero who is afraid of himself and are afraid to get hurt by other people so he cuts himself off. I really felt for Larry and how he was as a person. on the outside the big, fire fighter with muscles and the scars but his heart is so different, so soft and so full of love.

I didnt really like Jenna, she is simply not the person I like. She dont think about anything as long as it dont comes to her and her work and her goal of succeeding. But still she makes changes so even I started to like her and she is perfect for this story.

Okay now I will talk about my favorite part of this book Harley. The cute bassett hound puppy I feel in love with. he is so real in this book and its impossible not to love him and he is the important thing. without him nothing would succeed or work out for anyone.

This story is simply awesome in so many ways. I did fell in love with the story and how it is written with the split views and how twists comes into the story. I am so happy I got to beta read it and I think more people than me will fall in love with the story. And I can recommend other people to read it because it is simply beautiful and interesting.

Santa's Pet (A Holiday Romance) (Jingle Belles Book 2) - Rachelle Ayala (book review)

At this moment in time I dont read as much for pleasure as I want to, work is just taking so much time... But I have finished a very great Holiday Romance book by one of my favorite authors when it comes to Romance books.

Brittney Reed's life is boring, according to her flamboyant talk-of-the-town sister who drafts Brittney to be the sexy elf at this year's Pet Rescue event at their Christmas Tree Farm.

Ben Powers has a single goal in life--to be drafted to play pro football. Unfortunately, his college team didn't make the playoffs, and he's spending Christmas at his grandfather's place to avoid his football fanatic hometown full of siblings and fans.

Santa Grandpa needs his help, and when Ben meets Brittney, trouble and romance lock hands and follow them everywhere. Ben finds Brittney is more than a pretty face, and Brittney likes what she sees when she gets a peek behind Ben's armor.

When Ben is charged with a sex crime, and Brittney is forced to give up her company, the Spirit of Christmas steps in and shows Santa and his favorite Elf that love is the answer to every question.

Jingle Belles is my modern, edgy series of Christmas romances: dramatic, humorous, with a bit of steam and lots of holiday cheer

My Thoughts
I had really big hope for this book and I must say that I am no disapointed. I really really love it. First it is a very funny story and I did laugh a lot, specially in the beginning. There are also part where I get so angry and upset. The books have everything and makes me feel, laugh and hate. Even if this book has a christmas theme it is more than a normal christmas love story, this has depth and can be read all time of year, but I like how the christmas feeling is there and it also is part of the end and how the story unfoalds in the best of ways.
I am so surprised over parts of the book and I like when a story and a book can make you surprised in both good and bad ways. The story is not boring or one dimentioned and that is something I really like. I also love Britt as a character and I am so happy she got her own book. Lacy is not the kind of person I normally like but Britt is and she deserves
I can really recommend this book because it is very well written and the story is just perfect. It has everything you can want from a good romance book. I simply love this one

Paperback Excerpt
He took a breather and stared into her eyes, knowing he was grinning and not caring one bit. “You know what I want to do?”
She lowered her gaze and bit her lip. “Whatever you want.”
“Yeah, I got that the first time.” A shiver went through his spine and he trailed a finger down the side of her cheek. “I want to cherish you, hold you close, make you happy. I want you to feel loved, but also give you wings to fly. Protect you. Let you explore, conquer, and do, knowing I’ll be here whenever you need and want me.”
Her eyes sparkled along with the look of wonder on her face. “That’s the most romantic thing anyone’s ever said to me.”
His heart blossomed full of love and happiness. “That’s what I want to be for you. The guy who’ll celebrate your successes, cheer you on, but wipe the tears when you fall, then pick you back up.”
“You’re too perfect. What’s going to happen?” Her brows furrowed. “Am I dreaming? Or did you put something in those pain pills?”
He chuckled and dotted a kiss on her cheek. “Speaking of, let me check your hand and the swelling. If you’re able to tolerate it, we’ll get you onto Tylenol, then you won’t be fuzzyheaded and have an excuse for kissing me.”
“No excuse needed. I had a crush on you forever, but I guess no one told you.”
“No one did. Family code of silence?”
“You make us Harts sound like the Mafia, but true.”
“Guess it cuts both ways then.” He tipped her chin and rubbed his nose on hers. “Because all the Reeds knew how I felt about you and no one told.”

The Thousand Year Curse (A Curse Books Book 1) - Taylor Lavati (Book review)

So I finished another book. well I finished this last weekend but havent had time to wright about it until now. Its the first book in a series of 3. it is by one of my new favorite authors Taylor Lavati. :D

Buy it as ebook here
Buy it as paperback here

Within the first month of school, Ryder goes from bullied teen to a cursed half goddess with two boyfriends. As if that wasn't enough, she travels into the Underworld to confront Hades about the curse and her missing mother.

Ryder delves head first into a Godly world as her two knights fight to seek her approval, her best friend's loyalties are tested and people's true intentions are shown in the first Curse Books novel.

*Author Disclaimer* Book contains adult situations.
(For younger audiences skip chapter 16)

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book and the story that is very well written and is in some case uniqueue, or at least I havent read book with some of the elements of it. I dont want to give any spoilers so Im not gonna say more.

The characters are very well created and feels real. The main character is Ryder and I must confess I dont like her, she is a 17 year old spoild girl and one day things gets taken away from her and instead of growing up, she starts moaning and blaming the world. But sure she grows a little bit on me but most of the time I get so annoyed and she I really hates the way she acts. I screamed at my phone while reading it because I really felt she was stupid.

The main story itself isnt unique and I have read tones of similar stories. A love story about a girl and 2 guys and she dont know who to choose. Sounds familiar? just like that I can name at least 2 huge books that has become movies or TV shows. Parts of it felt like it was a bit of copy cat from other work like The Twilight Saga and Vampire Diaries. Even if it is inspired from that, I dont know, but its is still delievered in a good way and in a way that makes it different from above mentioned books/moviestv shows...

The language is good but I have read better from this author, and I know this is her first published novel and for being that, its good job but I do want more from it. This book is for young adults and I think it is very noticable but still there is no problem reading it as an adult. I am an adult reading and enjoying the book.

It is very hard to put down the book when you have started reading it and that is a good thing. I like books that has a natural good flow in them. The length of the book is perfect and I wouldnt add anything to this, the first book in the seriest or even take anything away from it.

I can recommend the book. It is very nice and the story is good. I cant give the book 5 stars because I feel there is something missing in it, and it is to similar to other work. But still a very readable and enjoyable book that I really can recommend to other, both adults and young adults.

A Street Cat Named Bob: How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets - James Bowen (book review)

I bought this book for my mom for christmas a few years back and I thought it was time for me to read it and review it

When James Bowen found an injured, ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change. James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet.
Yet James couldn't resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom he quickly christened Bob. He slowly nursed Bob back to health and then sent the cat on his way, imagining he would never see him again. But Bob had other ideas.
Soon the two were inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures would transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.
A Street Cat Named Bob is a moving and uplifting story that will touch the heart of anyone who reads it.

My thoughts
This book is a true story of a person who is recover from heroin addiction. this shows very well in the book and sure the book isnt the most well written book I have read but you have to see it for what it is. Its a story about how a cat could save one mans life. The language here is good but not excellent but that is also one of the strong points about this book because it feels real. A super well written book with good naratives and a lot of action would make the book less real and more like fiction. This is not fiction.

There is a lot going on in the story and still the story is very calm at the same time and that is someting I think you have to get used to when reading it. There will not be a lot of information about his addiction and how it felt and horrible stuff that a lot of people are looking for in books, because this book isnt about James addiction, its about his way to recovery and sure he thoughs the subject of drugs and how it felt but its not vivid explanations about how he got high and how it felt.

I enjoyed reading this book and I enjoy Bob. He is smart but then again he is a cat. I wouldnt say that he is the smartest or most uniqueue cat out there but there is something special about him. I have had cats and they have all been special and have some traits Bob has, and some he dont and he has something that they dont have. That is how it is. What I find so special about Bob the cat is how loyal he is. he has some traits that I find in dogs and not in any of the cats I have had.

This story is not for everyone and I have seen everything from bad reviews about how fake, badly written and even pet abuse to words of love and admiration. I admire James and Bob and I am happy they meet and got a chance to read this book. this is a fell good book that I enjoyed a lot. I know a lot of people will find hope in this book. I love how it shows how a singel animal, a pet, can chance the life of a person, and it does matter if you are a homeless drug addict trying to recover or the riches man in the world. The pet loves you and are there for you.

This book also put the lights on how it is to be homeless and how we as society can help and should help. We have all seen people that are homeless stand and sell the magazine and a lot of us have walked by without even looking and sometimes thinking that we will not sponsor their addiction. After reading this book, things like that get put in a different light and its not sponsoring an addiction, its about sponoring someone who wants to change their lives. I now stop and help, and buy the magazine whenever I can. I have done so in my home country, and in the country where I love even I dont speak the langauge. why? I want to help and give someone hope and this book has helped me to see that.

This book is now a few years old but thiss, the topic is very real and maybe even more important today than every. It is a good book and a lot of people can read it, everything from young adults to adults. The language makes it easy access and it gives hope.

Eragon (Inheritance, Book 1) - Christopher Paolini( (book revirew)

Okay my life is officially hectic at this moment so reading for pleasure is not something I can do as freely and much as I want to... This is a shame but that is life. but now here are another book review and I have read this book before but only in my native language Swedish but now I read it in english so this review is about the English book.

Buy it as paperback here
Buy it as ebook here
Buy it as hard cover here

Fifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy—until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. Gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

My Thoughts
I must say that I really enjoyed reading this book in the original language now years after I read it in Swedish.  When I read it the first time i was younger and liked it and this is a book for Young adults written by a 15 year old with hopes and dreams. This makes the book different from other fantasy books. I know a lot of people would say this is not the class of Lord of the Rings and David Eddings works and that is true but this book has never tried to be that either. The way it is written is very well with a good language that is perfect for the taget audience. The storyline is not straight and boring, it is dynamic with a lot of things going on and we get to learn a lot about what happened before our story took place.

When you read fantasy you have to learn that it is a lot of the same in a lot of books and if you dont follow the rules you will get disliked. I as a reader dont give a crap about all this and I dont give a book a bad review because that is what is expected. I know a lot of fantasy lover hates this book and see it as childish. I dont. The story is very interesting and there are things happening with calmer episodes. I like the mix between naive young Eragon and his older teacher and how they learn and try to chance the world and themselves. Eragon is Naive but he is 16 and his life has turned up side down. I think he deals with that better than most people do when things chance.

The story is so well written and you can see that it leads somewhere and somethimes you question thing and decision and sometimes you laugh and sometimes you just hate what is happening and I myself cry in parts of thid book and feel discusted but that is what I want from a book and thinking about that a 15 year old wrote it, makes it even more awesome.  I really liked this book and the entire story and the world. some young adult fantays is far from this awesome and sure it dont have the edges and the things that the more adult fantasy writers have, this is still awesome and I will not comapre a young adult fantasy book with for examples Lord of the Rings. I give my 5 start to this book because I can place it where it belongs and comapre it to other young adult fantasy books.

I can really recomment Eragon and I cant wait to start the second book in the series.

50 shades of Grey - E. L. James (Book review)

So I have worked as a nursing assistent before and it was so much talk about 50 Shades of Grey and How awesome it was so I finally decided to read it.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

This book is intended for mature audiences.

My Thoughts
Okay, WTF is this? This book was horrible, how it is written and the story line itself. I know a lot about the BDSM life and this book, its just bullshit. The author clearly have no clue what she is talking about and she makes the BDSM world look really bad. this is a huge insult to people living the life and know what it is about. This book make it very dangerous, because it gives the wrong idea about it. also when we skip BDSM, Do you want to be treated like Ana or have your daugther treated like that? I didnt think so.... Grey is a evil dangerous person who only wants to controll. He is manipulative and if he wasnt rich it wouldbe be so "romatinc" as a lot of people think.

There is a lot of sex in it but its always the same. Nothing new, always the same boring stuff mixed with a lot of imagination of what BDSM really is.

The story itself is very thing and boring. I am surprised I even manage to finish book one. I was so bored. And I regret finishing it because it was really a waste of time. I know this is fan fiction of Twilight and I enjoyed Twilight as books even if I also have my thoughts about how the dynamic of the relationship is, but Twilight is a good written book with a readable storyline. This book really hasnt. I know a lot of people gonna hate me for this review but I just express my views and opinions, my right.

I dont understand how anyone can read this rubbish because that is what it is. If anyone thinks this is somewhat close to a real BDSM relationship, you are wrong. Also all the mistakes when it comes to spelling and grammar in this book is bad. has there been any checking before it went to print?

No I dont think I have a good word to stay about this "book". I have, somehow, manage to read first book and it took me weeks. I will never read it again or any other book in the series or written by this author. When you have this much mistakes and try to get into a world you dont know anything about you do research, which is missing for this book. The best thing this book can do is to work as a doorstop or maybe be used to light a fire.

Spicy Christmas Kisses: 11 Romances to Heat Up Your Holidays (Book review)

I have had so much to do and work is plenty and more will come but I have also been reading but not putting up reviews as I should so I will try to make some for the rest of the week. I will start with a bundle I got from one of the author, Rachelle Ayaa  for an honest review. I have reviewed a few of the novels before on this blog so I will not say to much about each individual story but more about the bundle itself.

You can buy the bundle here

This bundle contains 11 very well written, hot and spicy Christmas stories about love. The storyline is different even if they have similarity but so do all books you read in one way or another. The 11 authors of this bundle have done an amazing job when it comes to writing the stories because they have very well written story lines. You can follow the story and get to know the different characters each story have. You have a beginning and an end. What I do like is that they are not to short. A lot of bundles contains very short stories and sometimes its just a teaser for bigger work the authors do. That is not the case here. Every story is a book in itself and you can feel that while reading. This makes the bundle awesome and worth its money. You dont get 11 short, almost unfinished stories, you get 11 good, well written stories that makes you happy.

I dont love all the stories in this bundle. There are a few that, I cant relate to, but I still enjoyed reading them because they are good and the storyline is good, they where just not what I wanted. Maybe it is due to age or other things in my life vs. the characters life and story that made it hard for me to relate. Also it is impossible to love every story you read no matter how well written they are. Even if I didnt love all the stories I give this bundle a good review and 4 out of 5 stars because it really deserve it. This is a an awesome bundle with 11 awesome stories that is perfect now when christmas is getting closer. You do get a lot of christmas spirit and feeling when reading it so this is just perfect.

I can really recommend this bundle to everyone who wants some hot, spicy christmas stories that are well written and have good story lines.

Who will be the ONE man to convince her that he can satisfy her cravings for love, in and out of the bedroom?

My Thoughts
I picked this one up because i had heared and read about it from people and it was free and sometimes you just need a free ebook before you go to bed and fall asleep. Even if it had great reviews I didnt have high hopes and I must say I had a positive surprised. This book is very good and very interesting in so many ways.

Marissa feels so real and has a lot in her that so many women can see in themselves to and that is very good. I could relate to her in a good, positive way even if I never have had two hunks chasing me like she has. Do I do anything wrong? ;)

This book has a storyline so it feels like a book and not just a porn novel like so many books can feel like. I like the story and the twists in this book. It made me drawn in and I started reading it because I couldnt sleep and I couldnt go to sleep until the book was finished to I must confess I got to few hours of sleep last night but it was worth it.

I have now read the first book and it is good, but I also must say that some parts confuses me. It feels like there is parts missing in the book and that takes it down a bit. It felt really unfinished and that is a shame, parts not making any sens and sentences missing. Either way, beside this, I really enjoyed the book and can recommend it. I will buy the rest of the books and read them as soon as I have time and I will pretty quick start with book 2 even if I have so much to do work wise and my "To Read pile" is growing fast.

If you want a nice, modern romance book and series with a good storyline and characters that feels real, this is a book to read.

First Kisses - Dina Littner (Review)

I got this short novel for a honest review and I am very happy about that. Thank you Dina. :) and even if you cant buy this, (yet?) I wanted to share it and share the love for this new author.

Jillian Ross has been best friends with Caden and James Buchanan since she moved next door ten years ago. Now teens, their friendship is as close as ever and about to get closer. It's the Fourth of July and time for the annual tradition of watching the town's fireworks from the treehouse in Jillian's backyard.

My Thoughts
So this is a very short story that I enjoyed a lot. it is funny and i sweet and a  bit romantic at the same time. I can see this as an introduction to a bigger work or a part of a collection of sweet teenage love novels.

I must say it is very well written and I didnt think I would enjoy it as much as I did. Normally short stories like this is not something I enjoy because I always want more, and sure I want more even after this, and even more than I thought because it is really awesome. but still, I see this story for what it is. A first finished story from a new author. if Dina keeps this work up, seh can go far.

I so enjoyed this story and I really recommend it to others. It has everything a short novel and/or a beginning for something better should have.

Tangled in Tinsel - Stacy Eaton (book review)

So I just finished a short romantic christmas story and I must say I did fall inlove with it. I havent read so much lately because I have been writing a lot. somehow I hope that, one day, I will be an author. Well here are the revirew of the lastes book I finished.

Welcome to Celebration Township.

Her next-door neighbor, Thad Wagner, is a sexy police officer, who is good with his hands, and his lips, but Casey refuses to get involved with a married man, and Thad can't seem to understand why she keeps pushing him away. No matter how they try to stay apart, something keeps drawing them together. When an unexpected visitor shows up at Casey's house the week before Christmas, her future is on the line. Will Thad figure it out in time to save her, or will Casey become a conspirator to a murderer?

Tangled in Tinsel is the first book in the thirteen-story novella series that takes place in quaint Celebration Township, Pennsylvania. The rest of the series will begin to release in the fall of 2016

My Thoughts

Christmas stories and love around christmas is a very popular topic and this story is the same but it is also way more than just a romantic story where two people meet around christmas. This is a story about how a woman finds the power in herself to survive in the world that is not always very nice to her. This makes this story more powerful and it gives it a deeper meaning.

The altering between the first person is done very well and you get different views and that also makes the story deeper and you as a reader connect to the story on a deaper lever. I like how it is written and how the author get me as a reader to not able to stop reading. I am so drawn into the story and I dont want it to end.

I really love this story and this is a story I can see myself coming back to and rereading again. the story is very good and it gives hope to the reader. Life isnt always that easy but we all need to find the power to move on, just like in this book.

If you want a good romantic story that is more than a lot of other stories out there then I could reacommend this one. it is just so awesome.

The cover of this book is so pretty. I really love it and I cant wait until next fall when the rest of the stories will be released.

Dark Alley Stranger: Episode 1 - D. S. Wrights (Book revirew)

okay so I have finished another book today. yes I have had a slow and relaxed day with only cooking and dog walks as break but I am allowed to have it like this from time to time. This time I read "Dark Alley Stranger: Episode 1" which is a shorter book but ti is bloody brilliant. I will buy it as paperback as soon as I can.

Buy it as paperback here
Buy it as ebook here

Newly single and self-confident Alice has recently decided that she doesn't need a man to feel complete, if it wasn't for the one activity where a man can come quite handy.
On a girl's night out that was bound to be embarrassing and boring, since every girl of her clique is a mommy or about to become one, Alice makes a lot of interesting acquaintances and thanks to one of them she receives a mysterious invite to the "Dark Alley".
Too curious to heed her best friend's warnings, Alice heads out to end up having, hot, sizzling sex with a faceless stranger.

My Thoughts
I must say that I have had this book on my kindle for a while and now when I have read it I wondr why I never did read it earlier because this book is bloddy brilliant. It is a very interesting story that is very well developed. The main Character Alice feels very real and it is easy to see yourself in her, I do at least. The feeling of reality is one of the strong points in this book and that it is dark but still not to dark.

The language is very well in the book and I love how it is written. It feels like the author has worked a lot with this story. The sex scens feels real and is not to much, like it sometimes can be or feel in some books. there is a very good mix of story, real characters and romance and passion. There is nothing I dislike about the book.

I hope there will be a second episode soon becaue I really love this book and want to read more of it. The end is open and a lot of times this is something I dislike but in this case it is an open ending that promiss more but it also somehow is a closed open ending so even if ther would be no more you are a reader can fill in the gaps and made your own ending.

The love of the story made me want it to be longer and I want more so I really hope episode 2 will come soon because I cant wait for it. i can recommend this book because it is just awesome

My Werewolf Professor - Marian Tee (Book review)

So I did a quick download from amazon of this "werewolf" book or novel or a few page story with a bad ending. read it in no time and is very unsaticfied. Well here is the review of it.

What I knew about Alessandro Moretti: he’s the sexiest man I’ve ever seen, he’s the most mysterious, sought-after professor in my university, and he’s not the type to fall in love with me, his plainest-looking student.
What I didn’t know about Alessandro Moretti: he’s a werewolf…and he may just want me, too.

18-year-old Kassia has decided to confess her love for Professor Alessandro Moretti. She knows she’s likely to be dumped, but instead the professor offers her…a bet?

Alessandro Moretti has always found Kassia, his extremely shy student, oddly attractive. When she confesses her feelings, he’s unable to help himself. For him, it’s all a game. After all, Alessandro knows from experience that nothing good can ever happen between a werewolf and a human, especially when one of them is as cynical about love as him.

My Thoughts
I must say that if I knew this book or short novel or whatever you want to call it, was so short I wouldnt have bothered putting it on my kindle or read it. This short story is just a part of something because it just ends mid in the story and in a very odd way.

I must say that for me this si a painfull slow porn novel without much storyline. It is supposed to be about werewolf as the title say but its very breefly about them. Sure the professor is a werewolf but that is almost it.

I like hot and steamy shifter romance books but this one is not something for me for a number of reasons. First of it is to short and ends mid in. I dont like when it is like that and even if this is a short thing that can be combined into something bigger, it feels unfinished. like work in progress.

Secondly they use the word Lyccan and I am a huge fan of underworld and there is the only place I have heared about Lyccans and its a word I dont like in this kinds of fiction because it has nothing to do with Lyccans, they are werewolfs here not lyccans.

THirdly, this is simply bad porn novel and it feels so unfinished. This is underworld clashing with the novel "bitten" by Kelly Armstrong and it is not a good clash. it is a bad clash. It is to much unspoken things and so many loose threads and it dont keep the reader entertained. I will not even look up the rest of the novels in the series because this one was painful enough. I hate to give bad reviews but I have to speak my mind and I cant give this anything more than I have.

I wouldnt waste my time reading this again so I cant recommend it. **/***** (2/5)

The Hobbit: There and Back Again (book review)

Sorry My dear readers that I havent been updating anything for a while. Life is just so hectic and I havent had time for much latly, not even reading. Work and moving takes energy. Well I finished one of my favoite books last night. The Hobbit.

Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely traveling any farther than his pantry or cellar. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an adventure. They have launched a plot to raid the treasure hoard guarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. Bilbo reluctantly joins their quest, unaware that on his journey to the Lonely Mountain he will encounter both a magic ring and a frightening creature known as Gollum

My thoughts
I dont even know where to start describing my thoughts  about this book because this is a true masterpiece in its own way. The story is very well written and there is a clear red thread in the story that leads the reader onwards but also to know the places and characters in the book in a good way. nothing is given freely for the reader and we get to know people, little by litte and the introcution to new characters is made when needed and nothing more.

I remember reading this book for the first time and I loved it and I must confess, this is the first time I read it in English and the language can sometimes be hard and confusing if you are not very well known of Englihs and Toliens way of writing and describing things.

This is an illustrated edition and the illustration isn the book is very nice and fits in the story but if you dont want to liik at them its no problem because there isnt a lot of them only a few.

I enjoyed this book as always and I really enjoy Tolkiens work. This is a masterpiece of its own. If you only have seen the movies I think the book will be a bit of a  disapointment because there is a lot of things that dont happen in the book and the book describe things in shorter way and way different than in the move. The book and the movies are very different so dont think its the same. Theb ook is a ture masterpeice and I know I will read it again and again no matter what. This is a book I recommened to a lot of people who wants to read good and well written fantasy. I would also say that this is a bit of history. Tolkien is, according to me, the creator of modern Fantasy and of course The Hobbit is one the the big stones in fantasy.

If you havent read it, I would say you have missed something very important and I would recommend everyone to read it.

Not-So-Blue Christmas - Bonnie Edwards (book review)

So while I was playing Heros of the Storm, which is a game I have started to LOVE, I read this book or short novel and thought I have to write a review about it.

Buy it as ebook here

In this second chance at love romance, Kirk Fontaine can’t bear to talk to anyone, let alone enjoy Christmas. Away from home, in a small harbor city in Canada, broken-hearted, Kirk’s lost and alone until one small dog refuses to give up on him.

Vibrant widow Miranda Bailey is ready to move into the next phase of her life, except this Christmas is shaping up to be the worst since her husband’s death. But instead of hiding, she takes charge, and drags Kirk into her Christmas miracle.

My Thoughts
This is a very well written story and the storyline is very good but I got bored when I was reading it. I dont know but this story simply didnt catch me in like so many other stories like this I have read.

The story, enviornment and characters is very well created and feels natural and some how real but not as real and perfect as I would prefer. I dont know how to explain it but it feels a bit… to much… and to unreal… With everything…

The problem can be that I cant relate to the characters and I think when you cant relate to characters or the story you dont like it so much, I think a lot of people would love this story and appriciate it very much, I am unfortunatly not one of them. This is NOT a bad story at all, it is a good one but not one of my favorites.

Cole for Christmas - Kelly Collins (book review)

Okay I have to confess, Im so into christmas romance books at this moment. So here is another review of a great book. I started it this morning and well I have finished it. Couldnt put the book down.

When Interior Designer Chloe Craig imagined Christmas, her mind overflowed with boisterous family gatherings, trees trimmed in twinkling lights, and doorways adorned with mistletoe. Using her infectious joy, she was determined to soften the heart of her new employer, Mr. Cole, and to bring warmth and cheer to his cold Aspen home.

New to Aspen, Chloe was resolute to start fresh, shaking off a past relationship betrayal. She saw the Cole assignment as her ticket to establish herself professionally, and despite the magnetic lure of Mr. Tall, Dark, and Delicious, she knew to keep her distance.

For real estate mogul, Elias Cole, a broken heart had vetoed celebrating Christmas for years. More Scrooge than Kris Kringle, he was desperate for help so he hired Chloe Craig to bring the once-loved Christmas joy to his home.

But when his personal life fell apart, he needed more than a decorator. He needed a miracle, and her name was Chloe.

Sometimes desire is simply too irresistible to give into, and attraction too hard to ignore. While some girls get presents for Christmas, others get Cole. Could a little Cole for Christmas be Chloe’s wish come true?

My Thoughts
I am so into christmas romance at this moment and I am already in holiday mood. It is weird but reading this books makes me happy. This book is brilliant. It is very well written and very funny. it all starts very innocent and funny and I was laughing and smiling a lot. THen it all gets complicated and sweet followed by more sweet and complicated and then well we all know how it ends… I like how this book is written, its the story line and how one thing leads to another in a natural way and the reaction of the characters in the book is so real that this story could be taken from real life. When you get the feeling off peaking into somone else life, then its a good book. I really feel for Cici and for Elias in an incredible way.

I am a christmas lover and loves everything about christmas and love to spread christmas joy to people around me so I see myself a lot like Cici and still I spend a lot of time with people who just hates Christmas, So this story is a bit of my life, How I already is thinking and planning christmas and they are fed up with just the thought of christmas is a few months away. Finding parts of you in books is important and I tend to do it in all books I read. There is so much of Cici in me, the love for christmas, her will of proving herself, moving away for some reason and so on. I have done the same and I still think I will do the same. I just wish I could celebrate christmas in a white wonderland like Aspen, even if I dont like skiing.

This is a lot more than a normal sensual christmas story. Christmas is in the center and it is a romance and a good love story but the storyline is different and good. This book has a good story that is hard to come by, the sex is not the center like in so many other books when it comes to Christmas romance books, even if of course there is part of it in the book.

I can really recommend this book to other. It is bloody brilliant and I will read it again. When I started reading I couldnt stop so I read it in one go. THe book is that good. Buy it, you will never regret it.

Christmas Flirt (A Holiday Romance) - Rachelle Ayala (book review)

Haha okay I was so wrong when it came to what review I was going to do next, but I had forgotten to wright about this book. The past weekend and everything but here it is.

This is a book that is best for 18+ readers due to sexual content

When hackers break into their company's network, Lacy and Brandon walk into a trap where Brandon's past catches up with him. What will he risk to free himself in a gamble that Lacy's flirting has turned to love and grant him his secret Christmas wish?

My Thoughts
I must say that this is a very well written story that I just love a lot. It has everything a good story should have and need. What I like is the storyline that feels like real people in the real world and its not as sweet and perfect and It makes it better. I like the entire feeling in the book, the girl who lives her life and do wha she wants and somehow things she is free and happy and the guy who is miserable and dont think he deserves to be happy. And then mix in attraction and the unwillingness to let anyone in, specially behind the secrets. I counldnt stop reading this book when I started. It is a very hot and sexy book with sex and naughty parts in it and that is also very well written. it is dirty but it never gets to much and it dont take over the story. this is more than cheap porn that some stories turns out to be from time to time.

I love this christmas story and it is perfect when it is cold outside because it really warms you up and makes you hate persons in the book and also love them. at a few points I was very surprised about what happened next and about the outcome and I like that. Even if you know how parts will end there are so many weird things and twists in this plot that you can never relax. I can highly recommend this book.
